Can I accept AAA Scholarship Foundation and Step Up?
A rule limiting a provider to one SFO is not published as of Oct 19, 2026; what differs is how each SFO pays you: SUFS through EMA, AAA Scholarship Foundation through its SMP platform, and Sunshine State Kids through Odyssey.123 The one-SFO limit applies to families, who can be with only one SFO at a time.4 At AAA Scholarship Foundation there is no provider registration: FES-UA families request direct vendor payments to you, and PEP/FTC families pay you and seek reimbursement.567
If I’m approved by Step Up am I approved by AAA Scholarship Foundation?
No SFO document says provider approval transfers; each SFO runs its own platform with its own W-9, banking and credential review.89 The only shared approval layer is FDOE status, such as private-school eligibility or VIP approval, after which each SFO invites or onboards separately.10118 The statute gives each SFO its own obligations and does not require reciprocity.12
How do AAA Scholarship Foundation families pay me?
For FES-UA, the parent asks AAA Scholarship Foundation for a direct vendor payment in the SMP, or on AAA Scholarship Foundation’s hard-copy Direct Payment form with your bank details, using your invoice, and AAA Scholarship Foundation pays you by ACH.269 For PEP and FTC, "parents must pay … themselves and then submit a reimbursement request."7 AAA Scholarship Foundation has no marketplace like MyScholarShop yet and calls direct purchasing "a future goal."5 AAA Scholarship Foundation’s pre-authorization "does not confirm a provider's eligibility."5
How fast does AAA Scholarship Foundation pay providers?
AAA Scholarship Foundation’s FES-UA handbook says "payment requests that have been submitted and approved by Tuesday of each week will receive payment by Friday of that same week."13 In its State Board filing, AAA Scholarship Foundation says FES-UA reimbursements and direct payments are made no later than 60 days from receipt of the required documentation.14 For PEP and FTC, the family is reimbursed rather than you being paid directly, and AAA Scholarship Foundation’s reimbursement turnaround is not published as of Oct 19, 2026.7
Are tutor credential rules the same at AAA Scholarship Foundation and Sunshine State Kids?
Each SFO applies its own purchasing handbook: AAA Scholarship Foundation’s 2026-27 handbook asks part-time tutors for a Florida certificate, a bachelor's in the subject or similar, and elective instructors for a Florida certificate or 3 years' experience.5 SSK's 2026-27 handbook says academic tutoring under $50 an hour needs no credential, while tutoring at $50 an hour or more needs a Florida certificate, a relevant bachelor's, 3 years' experience, enrollment in a related program or a certification; SSK also requires therapy invoices to show the license number.15 The statute's part-time tutoring credential list (see V018) applies to every program regardless of SFO.1617
Which scholarship organizations operate in Florida and what platform does each use?
For 2026-27, FDOE lists three SFOs: Step Up For Students (EMA), AAA Scholarship Foundation (SMP) and Sunshine State Kids (Odyssey); UF Lastinger is approved only for the New Worlds Reading Initiative's free books.1823 SUFS runs FTC, FES-EO, FES-UA, PEP, NWSA (closed to new students) and the transportation stipend; AAA Scholarship Foundation runs FTC, FES-EO, FES-UA and PEP; SSK runs FES-EO and FES-UA, and its FTC offering is unclear.
My family switched from Step Up to AAA Scholarship Foundation how do they pay me now?
A family can be with only one SFO at a time, so after a switch they pay you through the new SFO's process.4 FES-UA balances transfer with the student during the year, while FTC and PEP funds do not transfer; unused balances stay spendable under the original program's rules.147194 SUFS notes that transfers can take weeks.4
