AAA Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit scholarship funding organization (SFO) based in Tampa, FL1, one of three organizations running Florida K-12 scholarship accounts in 2026-27. It has no connection to the American Automobile Association. This school year it administers FES-EO, FTC, FES-UA and PEP (closed to new students); it does not run New Worlds Scholarship Accounts or the Transportation Stipend. Families apply and manage their scholarships in its online Scholarship Management Platform (SMP). The programs themselves are created by Florida law; AAA Scholarship Foundation runs the applications and accounts.

The State Board of Education renewed AAA Scholarship Foundation's approval for the FTC and Family Empowerment Scholarship programs5. PEP is part of the FTC program in state law, so the FTC approval covers it6.

The SMP, AAA Scholarship Foundation's platform

Families sign in to the SMP at app.aaascholarships.org3. AAA Scholarship Foundation describes these ways scholarship money moves15:

  • Private-school tuition: the parent and the school complete a School Commitment Form (SCF). Each payment period the school, then the parent, completes a Verification Report, and the foundation pays the school by direct deposit on fixed dates. Only Parent/Guardian A can approve, and power of attorney is not accepted16.
  • FES-UA services: the parent asks the foundation to pay the provider directly; requests approved by Tuesday are generally paid by Friday of the same week17.
  • PEP and FTC purchases: reimbursement only18. The family pays first, then submits receipts.
  • Products: there is no online store; the foundation calls one "a future goal"19.

Our guide to AAA Scholarship Foundation's SMP has the 2026-27 school payment dates and sign-in help.

Languages

AAA Scholarship Foundation's website offers Spanish and Haitian Creole through a Google Translate widget, a machine translation4. Its Florida handbooks and award charts are in English. Its 2026-27 Florida flyer is in English and says "se habla español!", and we found no Haitian Creole documents20.

How to apply

  1. New families apply in the SMP, on AAA Scholarship Foundation's own website3. Renewing families apply through an emailed invitation21.
  2. Apply for one scholarship at a time: state law bars applying for FES and FTC for the same student at once22.
  3. Watch your email and the SMP for the award, and accept it within the deadline in the table above.

For documents and steps, see how to apply for a Florida K-12 scholarship and the deadlines calendar.

Contact

AAA Scholarship Foundation's phone line is 888-707-246523: leave a message and the foundation calls back; for FES-UA, use extension 51. For technical help with the SMP, it lists help@aaascholarships.org1. The AAA Scholarship Foundation contact page lists the mailing address and program-specific email addresses, with where each comes from.

The federal tax credit

State SFOs don't run the federal Education Freedom Tax Credit; scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) on a state list do24. AAA Scholarship Foundation says it intends to act as an SGO itself, and it is not yet on a Florida SGO list25. Florida's first list is due February 15, 202726. See the Education Freedom Tax Credit page.

The other scholarship organizations

Two other SFOs serve Florida K-12 families in 2026-27: Step Up For Students and Sunshine State Kids Foundation. A family works with one SFO per student. See the side-by-side comparison of Florida scholarship organizations or all scholarship organizations.
