For 2026-27, the FES-EO, FTC and PEP scholarship pays $7,463 to $12,2171 per student, depending on the county you live in and the grade band; the statewide median is $8,3121. FES-UA pays $9,627 to $39,0912, depending on county, grade band and the student's matrix level. The tables below give every county.

How the amounts are set

  • By law, by school district. FES-EO pays the state FEFP funding per student for the basic program, by grade level and district, plus a per-student share of certain categorical funds3. One table serves FES-EO, FTC and PEP1.
  • Your county and grade at first funding. The amount is fixed by grade and county when the student is first submitted for funding in the school year; later changes don’t alter it4. The county is the county of residence on the application1.
  • FES-UA adds the matrix level. Students with matrix levels 1-3 or a qualifying diagnosis get the base amount for their grade band; level 4 (254) and level 5 (255) get much larger amounts. See FES-UA amounts by matrix level.
  • Deposit ceilings. New deposits stop when an account balance is above $24,0005 (FES-EO and FTC), $24,0005 (PEP) or $50,0005 (FES-UA).
